This Lady has moved about a bit in our garden. She is now back where she started but in her colourful past she has been The Lady of the Bog Garden and The Lady of the Top Lawn. This is a dark and dank place in our front garden, at the bottom of the Long Bed. The two spectacular hostas are Sum and Substance and Halcyon. I keep the hungry slugs away with strips of copper tape in this bed and it works really well! Other plants in this bed are pink Lamium, Dicentra (Bleeding Heart), Primula, Cyclamen, Foxgloves, Ajuga Reptans and hidden at the back, just emerging from the ground after winter, there are two Darmera Peltatas (Indian Rhubarb). Juyst peaking it’s head into the photo on the left is a beautiful Mahonia.
